Speak up on the state of the art business

Alyson Stanfield over at Art Biz Blog is hosting a survey on the state of the art business.  She has teamed up with Kevin Houchin, legal and branding counsel for creative people and businesses, and the two of them want to hear from visual artists about the state of the professional art business.

Sharing personal information in the survey is optional and confidential. Alyson will use it only to notify you if you win a FREE copy of her book about creative self-promotion, “I’d Rather Be in the Studio!” (several will be given) or 2 hours of Kevin’s legal consulting.

Here’s your chance to speak up about making a living as a creator! The survey will be up for approximately one week.

  1. Thank you, Liz! We’re getting some good feedback and hope to do more of these.

  2. Thank you Liz! It’s looking like the survey will stay up for a little longer than a week because several larger arts organizations are going to include the invitation to participate in their scheduled email newsletters over the next couple weeks. We’ll start posting some of the data to our blogs by the end of the month, and probably make the full report available for a VERY nominal download fee for the folks who want to know more.

  3. I just added your blog to my blogroll at Feel free to lift any snippets from my archives – there’s lots of stuff on copyright that might be useful to your audience.
